Refund and Returns Policy
This policy details the terms under which Backcountry Albania processes cancellations and refunds for tours and activities booked.
Key Refund Terms
The 20% deposit required at the time of booking is non-refundable under any circumstances, regardless of when the cancellation is made.
Refunds for the remaining balance are processed based on the timeframe between the cancellation date and the tour start date:

Additional Refund Conditions
- No-Shows and Early Departure: No refunds will be issued if a client is a no-show for the tour or if they choose to leave the tour before its scheduled completion.
- Exclusion from Tour: If a participant is removed from the tour by the Tour Leader due to disruptive behavior, failure to follow instructions, or safety concerns (as outlined in the Tour Leader’s Authority section of the Terms and Conditions), no refund will be provided.
- Itinerary Changes and Force Majeure: Backcountry Albania reserves the right to change itineraries due to weather or safety concerns. In cases of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, political instability), tours may be delayed or canceled. Any resulting refunds or rescheduling will be offered at Backcountry Albania’s discretion.
Payment Timeline
To secure your booking, a 20% deposit is required immediately.
The full payment (remaining 80% balance) must be completed no later than 14 days before the tour begins. Alternatively, the remaining balance can be paid in cash at the Backcountry Albania office before the tour starts.
